FAQ: Does Kern offer used or refurbished laser systems?
Kern laser systems are known to be the best built laser system on the market. Due to their industrial build we do not see a high volume of used machines. However, from time to time we do offer refurbished and used trade-in systems.
Used trade-in systems.
Kern does allow our customers to trade-in their existing machines towards a newer model. These trade-in systems are cleaned up, their parts are replaced or refurbished, and finally enter our calibration and testing phase, just like a brand new machine would. This policy protects are customers against technological obsolescence and allows them to move into newer equipment at a reduced cost.

Retired trade show models.
Kern attends many industry trade shows throughout the year. Generally, at the end of our trade show season (mid-November) we offer these “road warriors” at a discounted price. These systems typically have very little to no use. They are refurbished to like new condition and are then ready for their new home.
